When someone say's to me "I see something in your
photo's that I haven't seen before" It makes me feel good to know
I was able to capture and share with you what I see.
We don't all see things the same way.
When you are able to do what you love to do; it no longer is a job. And I love what I do.
Being outside and using nature as my backdrop is the best. Working with the morning or evening natural lighting and feeling the fresh air is wonderful for me, so if you like being outside then we will have a great time together.
I am always learning, I will never claim to know everything about photography and I am open to suggestions. I'm based in Gresham/Damascus, Oregon and enjoy outdoor photography. I approach each shoot with love, understanding, willingness and passion, and by letting my clients know they are important by building a relationship beyond just taking a picture.
I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a gardener, a painter, an explorer, a friend and more. I can't wait to meet up with you and capture your special moments.

Many people have asked me over the years, how I got into photography; well here's my story.
I was turning eight; I kept asking my parents for a camera for my birthday. My parents had an old Polaroid camera and my mother used a Kodak camera from time to time. I remember always bugging my mother about seeing it and wanting to take the pictures.
On my birthday - much to my surprise; I got one. I got my first camera. I was so excited; I took pictures of everything and nothing at the same time. I wish I still had my first camera, but with all the years past and many moves later, I have lost it along the way.
Years have gone by, my desire to capture was and is still strong. When I gave birth to my daughter, I was looking into continuing my education. I went back and forth between "Beautician" or "Photography" well as a single mother to enter into photography classes I needed a nice camera, that would have cost me more money than I had at that time in my life, so I went with Beauty School and I loved it, I still do. In fact I call myself the "Kitchen Beautician". After many years of education and working in a salon, things in life changed. Some things I had control over, others I did not.
Meanwhile I had always been the one in the family who was known for taking the pictures. It seems I had a reputation among my family and friends to always be the one with the camera.
For years friends would tell me "Your photos are beautiful" or "You could sell that photo" or "You need to be a photographer". So in 2010; I made a move towards that with the much needed support of my partner, my daughter and some very dear friends. Although I work a full time job outside of photography, I make time to continue and work towards a career in photography. I am always learning and want to continue to learn. I will never claim to know everything about photography.
Here I am today - I have not completed years in school to be a photographer, nor do I have a degree in photography. But I have a drive and a lifelong passion towards capturing a moment and freezing it in time with a click. I truly love what I do, being outside with nature and showing you something you may not have seen before even though you might have passed it a hundred times before - you’re seeing it for the first time in a photo I took.
I will continue to share my photos – although we do not all see the same beauty, because we are all individuals who have our own sense of beauty. But maybe, just maybe... you can see what I see.
Thanks for taking time to read part of my story; I look forward to sharing my captures with you.
